Caroline Bullard

Caroline Lg

Caroline has a growing reputation in the World of Adventure Racing. Her personality, strength of character and an a never give up attitude have made one of the UK's best female racers.

Clearly suited to the demands of Expedition racing her continued determination has seen success starting to come her way with podium finishes in the adidas Terrex 2010 and XPD Africa in 2011.

Her physical strength is never underestimated by her team colleagues as most have been towed by her at some point. Experience was first gained within UK racing before moving onto her first XPD race in 2008 where she finished 8th in Portugal.

She has definitely set her sights higher and in 2012 will be racing in the World Series Final.

Just in Case you Wanted to Know...

What is your favorite adventure race to date?

World Championships XPD race in Portugal 09 – coving just short of 1000km and the immense sense of achievement. The highs and the lows were huge, but it is amazing how far you can push yourself when you desire a dream. Racing with 3 fantastic men with whom I shared many happy memories of the race

How did you get involved in Adventure Racing?
I was competing for GB in Modern Pentathlon and on the talented athlete scheme during the final year of studying for my Veterinary medicine degree. It was then when Stuart suggested I come for a training weekend up in the Peak District to meet Team Accelerate and give adventure racing a go. I did my 1st open 5 with Eddie Winslow, on a friends bike, and here I am...

If you had one top tip for someone thinking of giving AR 'a-go' what would it be?
Keep smiling – as long as you are smiling then you are enjoying it and consequently you will perform better.
