What is your favorite piece of kit and why?
A decent head torch to light those night runs and bike rides...
What is your favorite prerace food and why?
No real preference beyond a balanced diet, although scrambled egg on toast always goes down well.
What is your top tip for anyone who is taking up the challange of navigating during a race?
If you know where you are racing, have a look at a map beforehand to get a general feel for the terrain, where the tough sections could be and where you can move fast. Then in the race, don’t blindly follow anyone else – neither of you will know where you are going. If someone is going your way keep an eye on what they do, but stay in touch with where you are on the map.
